Country rock music singer-songwriter Kaitlyn Kohler has been making a household name across the US the past few years.
Born in Corpus Christi, Texas, she spent most of her childhood years on the move as a part of an active military family. Her father, Karl was a Carrier Pilot and Navy Officer for 21 years. Kaitlyn has lived all over the world before settling in Texas after college.
She first felt the nudge to music in high school when she realized how music can impact people. There was only one problem standing in her way of pursuing her dream…she had to get in front of a microphone. Kaitlyn grew up with a severe anxiety disorder and being in the spotlight was the last place she wanted to be.
“I told God, wait a minute, you got to be kidding me…right? Everything the job entails is what I’ve tried to avoid my whole life and there’s no way that I can do this! Then He told me, I know you can’t…but I can.” The mission is clear: to inspire others who might feel overwhelmed or stuck in pursuing their dreams to push through and keep going. Her motto…If I can do it, you can too! Keep chasing your passions and dreams!

She credits God with all of her success and opening the doors of opportunities in her career. “I have been so blessed to work with some amazing people along this journey. I know when I am on stage, I feel alive and I am meant to be doing this. I love the connection with people and getting to impact their lives through music” Kaitlyn shares.
Being a native, Kaitlyn began her career in the Texas country music scene where she has had great success in radio and has garnered many accolades along the way.
Her single “Break Another Heart” - penned with award-winning songwriter Bobby Terry (Garth Brooks, Reba, Faith Hill) - was her first number one song on Texas Regional Radio Charts. Since it’s release, it has accumulated 700,000 streams between Amazon Music and Spotify.
She has also written with many other successful writers such as Dean Dillon, Marla Cannon Goodman, Don Rollins, Jamie O’Neal, Buck Johnson (Aerosmith, Ringo Star, Hollywood Vampires), Charlie Midnight (James Brown, Billy Joel, The Doobie Brothers), and has released multiple songs written by Jason Matthews as well. Kaitlyn was named Emerging Female Artist of the Year (Texas Internet Radio Chart Awards) and Best New Duo with chart topping country artist Jamie Richards (Texas Regional Radio Awards). She was nominated for New Female Vocalist of the year and for Female Vocalist of the year as well.
Her next single “I’m Not Crying” went number 1 on the Texas Regional Radio Chart. The follow up single, ”Everywhere I Go” peaked at #55 on Music Row ranking her the 11th most played independent artist on the chart. She collaborated on both singles with producer Buck Johnson (Aerosmith, Ringo Starr, Hollywood Vampires) and just released a new single off of the latest work “Bad Habits.”
Be watching for her brand-new project, Bad Habits, slated for a late summer/early fall release, produced by Aerosmith’s keyboardist, Buck Johnson. Recorded in Nashville, TN, Kaitlyn wrote several songs on this project along with some heavy hitters.
Since relocating to Nashville this past summer, Kaitlyn has worked with Dolly Parton’s producer Kent Wells and headlined shows with an A-List Allstar band with such members as Dave Fowler (Lorrie Morgan, Tracey Lawrence), Jack Gavin (Charlie Daniel’s Band), Kevin Ray (Taylor Swift), Dusty Knapp (Billy Dean), Garth Justice (Reba) and others.
Kaitlyn brings a show stopping performance to every stage she has the opportunity to step on, connecting with her audience and creating loyal fans wherever her music continues to take her.
